Emily, I am overjoyed to find that you are working on this. I have tried to talk to a few of my friends about this but my friends are really not all that smart. I still love them but... I sure am glad I saw your post. One of my friends summed up "LOST" as a cross between Gilligan's Island and the Twilight Zone.

I had been thinking that the show was about colonialism. I thought the Nameless One was the island's spirit like Pele or something (they are on Hawaii). Then the Smoke trying to leave the island could be like the governance of the island trying to extend beyond it's borders. The Smoke, which was content to manipulate and enfrighten the islands inhabitants, needed more. But what was more? What was The Source? What was

A friend was talking to me about her woes from years ago that she still thinks about. She still experiences the consequences of her early actions in life. Man must think long term. We pay long term consequences.

The consequences that effect us today were made, in split seconds or over a period of months, long ago. How can we expect to make split second...

I was certain that identity was the glowing light at the heart of the known world. When identity is lost, in a metaphysical sense, it is lost everywhere. The universe has existed, from its creation until now, without losing an instance of identity. That is the rational, objective view of the universe universe.

But I had not considered the psychological implications. We observe people discovering an island. They discovered its rules and shared there discoveries, to a degree, even though they

I know it has been more than a week since the finally on Sunday but Tuesday was the official night of “Lost”. Tonight is the night that they would fill in the gaps for an hour before the show. But now it is no more.

There are many questions left. What you did Hurley mean by telling Ben that he made an “excellent #2”. Is that just a weird insult?

Every man must accept his location. Or Move. But then he is still located somewhere. He is finite in space. He must accept, at some point, that he is where he is. He was born when he was born, came into this world as if by accident, left to discover for himself, himself, and that which is not himself.

He is defined by his limitations. We are tied to food sources and, as Jacob showed Richard Alpert by baptizing him, we need to breath.

At first I just noticed that the latest episode was different. It was different in many ways. Twins born on the island. I think that’s a first. They turn out to be the dueling twins, which I had thought was the prime story, arrived on the island. And the story was already there. That means that we may have arrived on an island, in the first episode, that would come to an end by the end of the story.

But it’s an old island. I think someone on the show said that there was an old legend. A legend that a man would come to an island. I wonder if there had been a legend that twins would come to the island.

The Source is Identity. It is the identity of the location of the core, or heart, of the island. The Roman's may have set up a shrine called Islandia, or named after the goddess of the river, but that is incidental.

The real meaning of the source is Identity. From identity (a = a) flows existence and consciousness.

The smoke monster, the Nameless One, represents lack of identity. He is nameless. He is limitless.

From his youth he sought to escape

• Fraud.
• Killing People Dead.
• Lying.
• Cheating.
• Stealing.
• Speaking With Individuals who are deceased.
• Traveling Time.
• Coming Back to Life.
